Rachid trained as an actor at the Brit school and GSA where he discovered his talent for Combat.
After graduating, his career as an actor grew, working in the West End multiple times, at the National Theatre and on TV on both sides of the Atlantic, with notable credits on shows such as Brassic, Dr Who, Homeland, Criminal Minds to name but a few.
Rachid was inspired by combat work of Kev McCurdy and the late Malcolm Ransom. The latter of whom recommended Rachid pursue a career in the combat world and where the first seed of thought for True Edge were born.
From there, Rachid completed his teaching apprenticeship for the BADC under the guidance of his mentor Andrew Ashenden. He also achieved his Black belt in Tae Kwon Doe (WTF) and several coaching Badges for the British Academy of Fencing.
